Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2 has crossed ₹710 crore in worldwide gross collections, emerging as the highest-grossing Tamil film worldwide, according to trade estimates reported on Monday.
The action thriller, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, reached an estimated worldwide gross of ₹710.35 crore within 11 days of its theatrical release on October 15. It has surpassed Rajinikanth’s 2018 science-fiction film 2.0, which previously held the record with reported worldwide collections of approximately ₹691 crore.
According to figures attributed to trade tracker Sacnilk, Jailer 2 collected ₹25.70 crore in India net on Sunday, October 25. This represented an increase of around 6.4 per cent compared with Saturday’s reported collection of ₹24.15 crore.
The film’s cumulative India net collection reached ₹398.70 crore, while its domestic gross stood at ₹466.85 crore. Overseas markets contributed an estimated ₹243.50 crore to the worldwide total.
The film also recorded a strong second weekend at the domestic box office. Its reported India net collections from Friday to Sunday amounted to ₹64.35 crore, indicating that audience interest continued beyond the opening week.
The multilingual release has attracted audiences across Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada versions. The Tamil version contributed the largest share of Sunday’s reported domestic earnings, followed by the Telugu and Hindi versions.
The latest milestone adds to the film’s commercial performance and places it among the major Indian theatrical releases of 2026.
Box-office figures are estimates compiled by trade trackers and can differ across reporting services. Gross collections include applicable taxes, while net collections exclude them. The figures may also be revised as additional data becomes available.
The film’s continued performance in the coming days will determine how much further it can extend its record-breaking theatrical run.
