25 Single Mothers and Widows Receive Job Offers Through Bharat Ke Anmol, Nari Shakti Forum
Hyderabad, October 10: Twenty-five single mothers and widows received employment opportunities at a programme organised by Bharat Ke Anmol and Godh Foundation in association with Nari Shakti Forum at the Press Club, Somajiguda, Hyderabad, on Friday.
Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, former Member of the Telangana Legislative Council and former BJP National Co-Incharge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, attended the programme as Guest of Honour and distributed appointment letters to the beneficiaries.
The initiative aims to promote financial independence among women managing their families independently. Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin, founder of Bharat Ke Anmol, announced that the organisation would work towards facilitating employment for 25 women every year through private companies.
Addressing the gathering, Sudhakar Reddy emphasised the importance of providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to single mothers and widows. He said employment could help women gain financial security, confidence and the ability to support their children.
He also urged businesses, industries, entrepreneurs and voluntary organisations to come forward with similar initiatives. He stressed that women’s empowerment should include meaningful job placements, appropriate training, dignity at the workplace and opportunities for career growth.
Dr Nizamuddin announced plans to organise a larger job fair in Hyderabad and extend similar employment initiatives to other parts of the country. The proposed efforts will involve more employers, businesses and institutions to identify suitable opportunities for women.
The initiative will also explore self-employment opportunities, including electric vehicles such as electric autos, and provide information about government welfare schemes and entrepreneurship support available through the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The organisers said they also intend to facilitate opportunities in sectors such as software services, supervisory roles and reception services. Plans include connecting beneficiaries with legal guidance and other support services.
The programme was held to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25-year public governance journey, beginning with his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001.
The organisers said they would continue working with private enterprises and social organisations to expand livelihood opportunities for single mothers, widows and women from economically vulnerable backgrounds.
