Remarkable improvement in 10 yr Old Rayneesha suffering from Cerebral Palsy

Rayneesha from Uganda treated for Cerebral Palsy in India using cell based therapy from Dr Pradeep Mahajan, Regenerative Medicine Researcher. It is the commonest physical disability in childhood, occurring in 2.0 to 2.5 per 1000 live births.

When Rayneesha was born, the doctors at her hometown did not report any complications during birth or any significant health issue. However, it was later informed to the parents that the child did not cry after birth. At around 4-5 months of age, Rayneesha’s parents noticed some delay in developmental milestones. The child would not respond well to sounds and colors and had not begun to develop self-neck support. Also, she would drool continuously. Overtime her parents noticed that she did not sit up or crawl, but she would sit up with support. Doctors at her hometown diagnosed her with cerebral palsy and advised physiotherapy rehabilitation. Rayneesha gradually started to crawl and walk, although the milestones were delayed and her gait was not erect, her cognitive abilities and social skills were underdeveloped. Rayneesha would get aggressive at times and would be quiet at other times. Her parents researched for newer treatment modalities as they did not notice improvement with the rehabilitation she was undergoing. Moreover, she also had seizures for which she was advised life-long anti-epileptic medications.

On hearing about cell based therapy, the family decided to come to Mumbai from Uganda to consult with Dr. Mahajan. Dr. Pradeep Mahajan, Regenerative Medicine Researcher says, “Rayneesha was advised a holistic treatment protocol of cell based and oxygen therapy along with intensive neurorehabilitation. She was in Mumbai for a month and in this period, her muscle strength and gait improved. Her seizures were under control and dose of her anti-epileptic medicines reduced. Rayneesha’s social skills
