Review of arrangement of Special Clinic for Black Fungas and other development works at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute
Due to COVID pandemic, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute is forced to fight its battle on two fronts. While continuing its fight against Cancer, it is also forced to fight with Corona infections. The pandemic has forced it to revamp its infrastructure in order treat cancer patients suffering with Corona by following necessary COVID protocols. Accordingly the hospital has undertaken various measures to create new wards to increase the capacity of beds etc.
These ongoing works were today reviewed by Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chairman, BIACH&RI with the management of the hospital. After completing the review meeting, Sri Balakrishna has visited the construction sites and has issued necessary instructions to complete them as early as possible.
Later during the day, Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna also chaired a meeting attended by Doctors team lead by Dr LM Chandra Sekhar Rao, HOD, Head & Neck Wing, Staff Members involved in setting up a multi-disciplinary clinic to treat Black Fungus. He assured all necessary help to the team to conduct smooth operation of the clinic and in procurement of necessary medicines.
During these meetings, Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna has appreciated the efforts of doctors, management and other staff members in providing necessary treatment and care to the patients visiting the hospitals despite COVID pandemic. He also lauded the efforts of doctors/intensivist specialists and those working in emergency care in treating COVID infected patients. Later he appealed to staff members, doctors and management to continue their good work further and assured all the necessary support from Trust Board.
These programs were attended by Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna along with Dr RV Prabhakar Rao, CEO, BIACH&RI; Sri G Ravi Kumar, COO, BIACH&RI; Dr K Phani Koteswara Rao, Medical Superintendent along with others.
