Jim Sarbh recalls Neerja experience as actor marks a decade in films
MUMBAI: Actor Jim Sarbh has revisited his experience of working on the 2016 film Neerja, recalling an incident in which he accidentally hit co-star Sonam Kapoor during the filming of a scene.
Sarbh, who is completing a decade in the film industry, spoke about the experience while reflecting on his career and his work on film sets.
In Neerja, directed by Ram Madhvani, Sarbh played a terrorist while Sonam Kapoor portrayed Neerja Bhanot, the flight attendant whose actions during the 1986 hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 became the basis of the film.
Recalling the shooting of the film, Sarbh said he accidentally struck Kapoor with a prop gun during a scene. He also discussed the working environment on film sets and his observations about the hierarchy within the industry.
The actor has appeared across films and streaming productions during his career. His performances have included roles in projects such as Padmaavat, Sanju, Made in Heaven and Rocket Boys, among others.
