Duroflex sets up dedicated infrastructure support for COVID facilities, promotes wellbeing through its channels

 As the country is gripped with the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, hospitals are running over-capacity and people are in dire need of healthcare facilities. In this delicate period, Duroflex has once again shown its commitment to help the country in a crisis. The company has not just donated thousands of mattresses across the country, but also Ventilators and Oxygen Concentrators to medical facilities in Mumbai and Vellore.

As a critical initiative, the company launched the ‘Duroflex Cares’ programme wherein a special task force has been set up to supply mattresses in bulk to Covid-19 centres across the country. The company has set up a helpline for Covid-19 relief requirements and so far, the response has been overwhelming. Duroflex has donated up to 2000 mattresses till date and will continue to supply based on demand and requirements. In addition to helping our frontline workforce, under Duroflex Cares initiative, the brand’s social channels have also become a source of information on sleep, conversations on mental health, nutrition and wellness. The brand is collaborating with various doctors and experts to make available to its consumers actionable, practical advice. They have also taken the initiative to provide support to people whose sleep schedules have been severely impacted due to the distress caused by the pandemic. The brand has partnered with REM42 (AI driven sleep coach company) to offer the first 100 consumers who sign up, a free sleep consultation by qualified sleep doctors at REM42.

Speaking on their endeavour, Smita Murarka, Chief Marketing Officer, Duroflex Pvt. Ltd. said, “As a brand we are driven by purpose, CSR for us is actually BSR – Brand Social Responsibility, we have also put together a special cross functional taskforce expediting leads to action. We find it imperative to stand by our country during this difficult period and are in this together.”

 

The 2000 mattresses have been donated across the Covid-19 relief wards in Shanthinagar Constituency – Bangalore; Hemkunt Foundation in Mumbai for their Covid Care facility in the Gurudwara; Kasturba Hospital, Mumbai, St. Josephs School Bangalore, Entrepreneur’s Organisation setting up Covid facilities, children’s Covid facilities through Dream India Network and to Piramal Swasthya to help smaller towns such as Vidhisha and Sigrauli in Madhya Pradesh; Pakur and Sahibganj in Jharkhand and Jaipur have access to better healthcare facilities.

Duroflex has also supported hospitals with supply of ventilators. The Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore was supported with one Ventilator while five ventilators were donated to Holy Spirit Hospital in Mumbai. Oxygen concentrators have been donated to Sion Hospital, Mumbai.

Additionally, Duroflex has joined hands with NA Harris and BBMP in Shantinagar constituency in Bangalore to help them re-open a Covid Care Centre at the Government Arts College Hostel at Primrose Road, Bangalore. The Centre was supported with the supply of mattresses.
