Nurses at Wockhardt Hospital Mira Road Pledge to Stand Strong and Fight Coronavirus
Coronavirus has become a matter of concern in India. To encourage and applaud the nurses who are serving round-the-clock to the patients, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road has planned various competitions for them through online mode on the occasion of International Nurses Day. This year, the theme is Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health. More than 100 Nurses participated in the activity.
Nurses are teachers and caregivers who do so much more than just taking care of the patients. They help in transforming the lives of the patients by their round-the-clock presence. Today, when the entire country is reeling under coronavirus, nurses along with the doctors have left behind their comfort and safety, and are determined to serve the patients. To salute the spirit of the nurses who are the heart and soul of the healthcare system, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road, had come up with an interesting initiative.
They had organized various online competitions for the nurses that include drawing, solo dance and singing, and individual quiz competition. The winner for ( Song 1st Prize Ms.Sona Biju 2nd prize Ms.Athira 3rd prize Ms Bency and Ms Lijimol biju Dance winners 1st Prize Ms.Anju Lalu 2nd Prize Ms.Jyoti and Ms Sonal 3rd prize Ms.Neethu Drawing competition 1st prize Ms.Shabana 2nd Prize Ms Priti sawand and Ms.Princy and 3rd prize Ms feby and For quiz competition 1st prize Ms Sabita 2nd Prize Ms Sherin and 3rd prize Ms Ritu )
Chief of Nursing Ms. Lissymol Saji, Wockhardt Hospital, Mira Road addressed “All the nurses from the hospital are working relentlessly for the benefit of the patients leaving all their problems behind. We thank the hospital for taking care of us and ensuring our safety. We are glad that the hospital organized activities for us to help us rejuvenate and become stress-free. We all are happy and thankful to the hospital on behalf of all the nurses. We look forward to work for the betterment of the society, and hope to keep serving the patients till our last breath. We have also pledged to stand strong and fight against coronavirus.”
